Dr. Jeong

Dr. Jeong's areas of expertise include general and medical dermatology, in addition to dermatopathology.

Dr. Sam Jeong was born in Seoul, South Korea but grew up in Dallas, TX. He graduated with highest honors from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a member of the prestigious Business Honors and Plan II Honors Programs. He subsequently went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where he served as Co-President of his medical class, President of the Dermatology Interest Group, and a member of the UT Southwestern Student Leadership Council.

Dr. Jeong completed his dermatology residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he served as Chief Resident of the VA North Texas Health System - Division of Dermatology, as well as a Resident Coordinator for the Agape Dermatology Clinic, a free clinic serving Dallas' underprivileged community. Following residency, Dr. Jeong pursued additional sub-specialty training through a fellowship in Dermatopathology at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Jeong has contributed articles to top peer-reviewed journals, including Melanoma Research, Pediatric Dermatology, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and Dermatologic Surgery, among others. He has also presented at local, state, and national meetings. He is an active member of the Dallas Ft. Worth Dermatological Society, Texas Dermatological Society, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, American Academy of Dermatology, and American Society of Dermatopathology. Dr. Jeong is excited to return home to Dallas, where in his free time, he enjoys exercising, traveling, cooking, and exploring new restaurants with his family.
